The Case of the Missing Books by Ian Sansom

Used. Paperback. Meet Israel Armstrong, an idealistic soul who trades metropolitan life for the misty charm of rural Ireland, only to find his mobile library utterly devoid of its titular trade. Ian Sansom crafts a wonderfully eccentric caper as our caffeine-deprived protagonist must track down fifteen thousand vanishing volumes while navigating the delightfully quirky locals of a decidedly damp town. It is a brilliant blend of cozy mystery and fish-out-of-water comedy that celebrates the sheer stubborn magic of bibliophiles on the move. Grab a copy, though I suggest brewing your own decent cup of coffee before you dive in.
