Bury Your Dead : (a Chief Inspector Gamache Mystery Book 6) by Louise Penny

Used. Paperback. Chief Inspector Armand Gamache flees to Quebec City for a quiet winter getaway, but a gruesome murder beneath the city streets quickly puts his vacation on ice. While he tries to unearth the truth behind an obsessive historian’s demise, centuries-old ethnic tensions and fresh ghosts from his own past conspire to freeze him in his tracks. Penny delivers a masterclass in atmospheric suspense, deftly layering archaeological intrigue with the lingering fallout of a tragedy back in Three Pines. It is a chillingly clever puzzle that proves some skeletons simply refuse to stay buried.
