Impermax is a high‑performance liquid waterproofing membrane designed to form a seamless, durable coating across ponds, water features, and containment structures. To achieve full mechanical strength and long‑term waterproofing, it is essential to apply the correct quantity of product per square metre.

Coverage Per Container

Each container of Impermax is formulated for a specific surface area:

• 25 kg container → covers approximately 5 m × 5 m (25 m²) per coat

• 10 kg container → covers approximately 10 m² per coat

• 5 kg container → covers approximately 5 m² per coat

Coverage is calculated by measuring the surface area and ensuring the correct amount of product is applied per layer.

Required Thickness & Product Consumption

Impermax does not contain large quantities of mineral fillers. This is intentional — fillers add bulk but do not contribute to mechanical strength. Because Impermax is a self‑levelling polyurethane membrane, the strength comes from achieving the correct film thickness.

Correct Consumption

To achieve the required membrane depth:

• 0.8 mm thickness requires 1.0 kg per m²

This is the minimum consumption needed to ensure the membrane cures with the correct strength, elasticity, and waterproofing performance. Applying less product will result in an under‑thickness membrane that may fail prematurely.

Most installations require two full coats, each applied at the correct rate, to reach the manufacturer‑specified total thickness.

Application Notes

1. Measure Before You Apply

Before opening the container, measure the surface area you intend to coat. This ensures the correct quantity of Impermax is applied per layer and prevents under‑application.

2. Apply Generous, Even Layers

Because the product is self‑levelling, it should be applied in a continuous, even film. Avoid stretching the product too thin, as this reduces the final membrane thickness.

3. Saving Surplus Product

If you have unused Impermax after completing a coat:

• Transfer the remaining product into a smaller, airtight container to reduce air exposure.

• Seal the container tightly.

• Store it upside down — this allows the product to seal any micro‑gaps in the lid and helps prevent air ingress.

This method extends the usable life of the remaining product.
